Dobogókő has the closest ski slope to Budapest and the first ski slope in what is now Hungary (1923). The area, which is particularly suitable for winter sports, had a ski slope already between the two world wars and has undergone major improvements in the last decade. It consists of two pistes and a chair lift, and there is also a toboggan run in the area.

Cycling

Thanks to the proximity of the Visegrád Hills to Budapest and its well-developed road network, Dobogó-kő is very popular not only with competitive cyclists but also with amateur cyclists. The top of the mountain can be reached by road from Esztergom, Pomáz and Pilisvörösvár, or by asphalted forestry road from Pilismarót, typically with a 500-550 m difference in altitude.
